Leadership Development Training for Women with Disabilities

Nepal Disabled Women Association NDWA organized a Three-day training on advocacy, leadership development and legal rights for women with disabilities. During the training, there was a discussion about how women with disabilities can advocate for their issues, how to prepare the advocacy issues and agenda and how to present these agenda to the stakeholders. In addition, the participants were learnt about the need for leadership development in order to convey their issues to the stakeholders, and the need for legal knowledge for leadership.

​ The training was facilitated by Tika Dahal, chairperson of Nepal Disabled Women Association, Vice chairperson Meena Paudel, General Secretary, Dev Kumari Parajuli and Sunita Thapa, Secretary. During the training, activist Neer Shrestha told the participants about the importance of intergenerational dialogue for youth leadership.

32  women with different disabilities from Siraha,mahottari, kanchanpur, Dhading, kavre, kathmandu and Lalitpur were  participated in the training. The training was organized in collaboration with CBM Global
