Orientation for the Person with disabilities was organized in Budhanilkanth Municipality Ward No. 6 on Saturday, June 4, 2023. The program was organized by  Budhanilkanth Municipality Ward No. 6 and coordination by  Nepal Disabled Women Association (NDWA) .

Total 50 participants including 32 persons with disabilities from Budanilkanth Municipality Ward No. 2, 6 and 8 participated in the program. In the program, the participants raised the problems of persons with disabilities not having access to education, taking care of children with autism and intellectual disabilities and their parents having difficulty in earning income and their lack of access to employment and self-employment.

The ward executive members promised to work for the development of the capacity of the people with disabilities and overall upliftment. Sunil Maharjan, a ward member of Ward 6, committed to spend the money received for the service facilities he received from the ward in 1 year for the people with disabilities of that ward.

Ravi Khadka, Ward Chairman of Ward No. 6, promised to give priority to people with disabilities. He promised to complete the construction of a school building for children with autism in the next financial year 080/081 in Budhanilkanth Municipality ward no 6. He also said that he will manage to provide employment to parents of autism in the school.
