The Nepal Disabled Women’s Association NDWA held discussions with officials from the Department of Health Services, Leprosy Control, and Disability Management Centre, Teku on issues including access to health services for women and girls with disabilities, as well as all persons with disabilities, sexual and reproductive health rights, and reduction of gender-based violence against women and girls with disabilities.

During the discussion, NDWA officials raised the issue of access to health services for women and girls with disabilities, as well as all persons with disabilities, sexual and reproductive health rights, and the need for special laws to be enacted and for the reduction of gender-based violence against women and girls with disabilities, and the need to implement existing laws, policies, and guidelines.

During this, information was given about the work being done by the Centre in the field of disability. Officials said that the branch is aware of disability-inclusive health service delivery.
