To include women with disabilities from the ward level of the local government

Nepal Disabled Women Association NDWA organized an interaction with the ward chairperson and executive members of Budanilkantha Municipality. With the aim of addressing the concerns of women with disabilities in the policy, program and budget of the municipality, the association has organized an interaction program with the ward chair persons and network of women with disabilities, the disability coordination committee and other officials from the municipality.

During the interaction, the NDWA handed over 20 points of memorandum to the ward chairperson and members to be covered in the next fiscal year and discussed these issues for commitment.

The ward chairperson committed to include these issues in their plans for next year.Forty participants including ward chairpersons of Budanilkanth municipality, members of Budanilkanth Municipality Disability Coordination Committee, head of social development department and network of women with disabilities in the municipality.
